About the Houseboat
This unique
cargo ship houseboat shows you how the vessel looked inside when Martin and Agustina bought it in
2021. What you see today is the result of passion, craftsmanship, and respect for the ship’s history.
Martin and Agustina are the proud owners of this special boat-turned-home and B&B.
Martin is a dutch
journalist and an exceptionally skilled craftsman. For him, nothing seems impossible. He invested countless hours, dedication, and care into transforming this former cargo ship into the warm and comfortable houseboat you can enjoy today.
Agustina is a
Building Engineer from Spain and has been living on boats with Martin in the
Netherlands since 2003. She has a deep love for
architecture, interior design, art, gardening, and people. She designed the entire new interior herself, carefully preserving the exterior and the authentic features of the original ship.
The vessel has the
dimensions of a Kempenaar and the
appearance of a Spits — often referred to as a “Mamouth Spits”.
